Business Support Officer / Administrator - Local Authority

• Job Type: Full-time, Temporary Contract, Hybrid (3 days in the office)

• Hourly Rate: £13.26 PAYE

We are seeking a Business Support Officer to join our team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial in providing effective business support services to front-line and statutory services within children's social care. The ideal candidate will have experience in administration within a social care setting, particularly children's social care.

• Provide an efficient and confidential business support service to front-line and statutory services.
• Handle telephone enquiries, offering advice, guidance, signposting, and support to both internal and external customers across a diverse range of service functions in line with legislation, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Respond to various correspondence and manage incoming and outgoing information.
• Liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including managers, employees, and members of the public, ensuring effective communication and information links are maintained.
• Support statutory meetings, including the accurate and speedy recording of decisions directly onto electronic forms and templates using mobile IT devices.
• Take minutes in meetings and organise and coordinate meetings, diaries, and appointments, ensuring schedules and venues are appropriate for attendees.

• Experience working within a business support environment.
• Experience in administration within a social care setting, ideally children's social care.
• Proven experience in minute-taking and servicing meetings directly onto mobile devices with speed and accuracy.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer-based systems.
• Understanding of information governance, data protection, health & safety, and risk management.
