Reed Procurement are seeking an experienced Buyer for a temporary position in a dynamic manufacturing business. This role requires proficiency in procurement processes and experience within the manufacturing sector.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage and oversee the purchasing of materials and supplies for the manufacturing business.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive prices and terms.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Conduct market research to identify potential new suppliers and products.
• Coordinate with internal departments to forecast needs and specifications.
• Handle procurement documentation, including orders and contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Adapt procurement strategies to operate effectively in an environment without an ERP system.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Buyer, particularly in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
