Buyer Sub Contracting - 10 Month Fixed Term Contract

A leading infrastructure business in the West Midlands is seeking a Buyer to join them focusing on the procurement of sub contracting works. The role is to start in April and is a fixed term contract for ten months.

My client is a leading infrastructure business based in the West Midlands.

Description

• Manage the procurement of subcontracting services
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
• Work collaboratively with other departments on procurement matters
• Negotiate contracts
• Track and report on subcontractor performance
• Identify opportunities for cost savings
• Maintain procurement records and documentation.

Profile

• Previous procurement experience at Buyer level within the private sector
• Strong negotiation skills
• Knowledge of procurement policies and procedures
• Able to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
• Eagar to learn and develop
• Comfortable being in the office 3 days per week (able to work from home Monday & Fridays)

Job Offer

• Salary paying up to £42,000 per annum depending on experience
• A 10-month fixed term contract with a start date in April
