Cable Technician

Murray McIntosh are seeking a Cable Technician to work on a contract basis as detailed below:

Responsibilities:

• Installation of cable containment systems, including tray work, uni-strut frameworks, and conduit routing.

• Electrical installation involving control and instrumentation (C&I), power, signal, monitoring, and coaxial circuits, including comprehensive cable termination across multiple facility zones.

• Proficient in terminating a range of C&I connectors using both crimping and soldering techniques. Frequently encountered connector types include UTO-style, circular military-grade, Lemo, Kings, and D-type variants.

• Support provided in the operation and upkeep of technical infrastructure, with involvement in diagnosing and resolving faults within electrical distribution networks.

• Participation in the development and implementation of safety documentation, including risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
