Cafe Assistant

Job Title: Café Assistant (Short-Term Contract)
Location:Distington, Workington
Contract: Short-Term | Part-Time | 4 Days a Week (10:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
Salary - £12.85 or £14.55 with rolled up holiday pay

We are currently recruiting for a friendly and reliable Café Assistant to support a busy café. This is a short-term contract role, ideal for someone with strong customer service skills and a hands-on approach to food and beverage service.

• Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks and light snacks
• Providing excellent customer service in a warm and welcoming environment
• Operating the till and handling cash/card transactions
• Maintaining cleanliness across the café area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment
• Assisting with stock replenishment and daily opening/closing tasks
  

• Previous experience in a café, hospitality, or customer service role preferred
• Friendly and professional manner
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Food hygiene knowledge is a bonus but not essential
  

• 4 days per week
• 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Flexible working with the occasional Saturdays
