Capital Year-End Accountant

We are working on a Capital Year-End Accountant position with our client based in a Local Authority, to support their year-end.

Location: Southwest England

Set-up: Remote

Rate: £500/day via umbrella, inside IR35

Duration: Initial 4-month contract

Hours: Full-time position

Responsibilities include:

• Working with officers to prepare and deliver 2024/25 year-end capital accounting and audit requirements (working papers)
• Working with officers to review current processes and procedures, update and amend as required
• Assist with the implementation of IFRS16 as required
• Require an experienced (local government only) capital accountant who has led the closure of accounts for capital (including making all adjustments)
