Job Description - Care Worker

2-3 Months Contract with a local authority

Job Purpose

To provide dedicated one-to-one support to a service user, ensuring their individual needs are met, promoting independence, safety, and wellbeing. The role will focus on offering personalised assistance, encouragement, and care in line with the individual’s support plan.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

Support clients with Learning Disabilities Behaviour that Challenges.

Provide Personal Care.

Deliver direct one-to-one support to the service user in line with their care or support plan.

Assist with daily activities, ensuring safety, dignity, and comfort at all times.

Encourage independence while providing guidance and reassurance where required.

Build a trusting and respectful relationship with the service user.

Essential Experience Required

Previous experience in a care, support, or similar role providing one-to-one assistance.

Understanding of safeguarding practices and confidentiality requirements.

Experience working with individuals with additional needs, disabilities, or requiring tailored support.

Essential Qualification Required

Relevant care or support-related qualification (desirable but not essential).

Additional information to note

Working hours: 6 hours per week (Fridays, 9:30am – 3:30pm; potential for additional Monday hours in the future).

Male support worker.

Enhanced CRB/DBS is required.

Location: New Options, 25 Connop Road, Enfield, EN3 5FB.
