Careers and Employability Advisor

?? Careers Advisor – Central & North London (Multiple Sites)
?? Locations: Victoria, Soho, Tottenham, Kings Cross (Candidates must be flexible to work across sites)
?? Hours: Full-time – 35 hours per week
?? Rate: 17 -20 per hour
?? Start Date: 19th August
?? Contract: Ongoing temporary cover (not temp-to-perm)

Are you passionate about guiding and empowering young people as they take their next steps into higher education, apprenticeships, or employment?

?? Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 careers guidance sessions to students, supporting their aspirations and progression goals
• Plan and facilitate group workshops and tutorials covering HE, employability skills, and apprenticeship options
• Support students with HE finance and bursary applications, including guidance on Student Finance England processes
• Assist in the planning and delivery of a comprehensive careers and employability programme in collaboration with internal and external partners
• Create and maintain up-to-date resources, including digital content, to support career pathways
• Organise and coordinate enrichment activities such as university visits, employer talks, and career fairs
• Support teaching staff in embedding careers education into the curriculum and delivering related CPD

? What You’ll Need:

• A degree and a Level 6 Careers Guidance qualification (or equivalent)
• Previous experience providing careers guidance within education or training settings
• Strong knowledge of the Gatsby Benchmarks, LMI (Labour Market Information), and the post-16/post-18 education landscape
• Ability to work flexibly across sites and collaboratively with curriculum staff and external stakeholders
