Caretaker

Location: Lichfield, Staffordshire, WS13 6SW
Shift: 30 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 11:30 AM to 6:00 PM (30-minute unpaid break)
Start Date: Immediate start 

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable School Caretaker/Site Assistant to join our team in Lichfield. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our school facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including maintenance, compliance, and health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repair tasks around the school premises.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on the school site.
• Organise and manage maintenance schedules and tasks efficiently.
• Lock up and secure the school daily, including keyholding responsibilities.
• Support the school in maintaining a safe and clean environment for students and staff.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience: Previous experience as a school caretaker or site assistant, with strong maintenance skills.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with compliance and health and safety regulations in a school setting.

Skills:

• Highly organised and reliable.
• Ability to use initiative and manage time effectively.
• Experience in an alternative provision-based setting is beneficial.
• Keyholding experience is advantageous.
