Job Opportunity: Caretaker/Facilities Operative (Supply Basis)
Location: Plymouth
Salary: £13.84 - £15.80 per hour (depending on experience)

Are you a skilled and reliable individual with a knack for maintaining properties and grounds to the highest standards? Reed Education Plymouth is currently seeking a Caretaker/Facilities Operative for a school on a supply basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for students and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance of property and grounds to a high standard.
• Monitoring site stock levels and ordering necessary supplies.
• Carrying out DIY tasks beyond the scope of a competent DIY person, completing more specialist work as required.
• Conducting and recording statutory checks to help maintain Health and Safety records.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Flexibility and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a school team.
• Enthusiasm for responding to unexpected situations with a proactive and positive approach.
• Previous experience in facilities maintenance or caretaking roles is preferred.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service is advantageous, but assistance can be provided to obtain one.
