As a Temporary School Caretaker, you will play a key role in maintaining the school's facilities to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include:

• Opening and securing the school premises
• Carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance
• Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the school grounds
• Supporting with setting up rooms for school events or activities
• Monitoring heating, lighting, and alarm systems
• Liaising with contractors and reporting any major issues

This is a hands-on role that requires flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate would have:

• Previous experience in a caretaking, maintenance, or facilities role (preferably in a school or similar setting)
• A good understanding of health and safety practices
• Basic DIY skills and the ability to carry out minor repairs
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A positive attitude and the ability to work independently

This job is a temporary position. We will need to be able to obtain references to cover the last 2 years as a minimum, and you will need to be willing to undergo a DBS check if you don't already have a DBS on the update service.
