Job Title: Skilled Carpenter

Employment Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: £20.57 per hour

Location: Sutton, Great London

Job Description:

My client is looking for a Skilled Carpenter to work as part of our Repairs and Maintenance Team delivering responsive repairs to tenanted and communal residential properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out a wide range of skilled carpentry tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Gaining entry for tenants who are locked out
  • Overhauling and repairing doors and windows
  • Repairs to kitchen units, floors, staircases, skirting boards, and architraves
• Ensure all works are completed to high standards and in line with health and safety regulations
• Manage and update job status using a PDA device
• Work independently, following lone working protocols where applicable
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants while on-site

Tools & Equipment Provided:

• Power tools
• Uniform
• Company vehicle
• PDA (Personal Digital Assistant)
• Lone working safety device

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience as a skilled carpenter in a repairs and maintenance environment
• Must supply own hand tools
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Full UK driving licence preferred (vehicle will be provided)
• Enhanced DBS
