CARPENTER MULTI TRADERS

• 3 month contract
• Working on day to day maintenance and repair properties
• Locations Available are: Derby and surrounding area
• Van, fuel card provided
• £24.54 per hour via Umbrella
• Mon - Fri 8am -5pm
• Good all round candidates with can do attitude

We are recruiting for an experienced multi-skilled Carpenter who will ideally have experience of working within a social housing or local authority environment. Generally, you will be working alone on an appointment system being responsible to complete a set number of repairs per day, in an area covering the Derby area.

You will undertake Carpentry & Joinery related tasks, that will include 1st & 2nd fix works, experience in lock smith works in gaining entry and changing multi point locking systems to entrance doors & windows, you should ideally have some additional skills in Basic Plumbing, and other general trades ceramic tiling, patch plastering, these repairs should be completed to a high standard, delivered, ‘right first time’, to deliver a cost effective building solution to the business and its customers.

To be considered for this position it is essential that you have the ability to undertake associated trade tasks within competency, NVQ2 qualification or equivalent and long term relevant trade experience.

It is preferable for you to also have a valid Asbestos Awareness certificate, & current experience of fitting internal and external fire doors to BM Trada or Firas standards.

You will conduct work in accordance with current legislation, British Standards, Codes of Practice, safe systems of work and recognised industrial standards for such work, minimising damage to the fabric of the property.
