Job Description - Case manager

Job Opportunity: Youth Justice Case Manager (Grade J) - £35 per hour
Location: London Borough of Tower Hamlets
Start Date: 7th July 2025
End Date: 30th September 2025
Hours: 35 per week | Monday to Friday, 9:00-17:00
Pay Rate: £35 per hour (Inside IR35)
Closing Date: Friday 20th June 2025 at 17:00

An opportunity has arisen to join Tower Hamlets and the City of London Youth Justice Service as a Youth Justice Case Manager. This temporary agency role is to provide secondment cover and is ideal for individuals with a passion for supporting young people and enhancing community safety.

About the Role:
As a Case Manager, you will support children aged 10-17 who are subject to both community and custodial sentences. You will build strong, trusting relationships with children and their families, conduct high-quality assessments, and design tailored intervention plans to support desistance from offending, improve safety, and protect the public.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of young people involved in the youth justice system.

  • Deliver high-quality assessments and create effective, individualised intervention plans.

  • Collaborate with children, families, and multi-agency professionals.

  • Apply trauma-informed, restorative, and relational approaches.

  • Commit to achieving positive outcomes for all children and families.

About You:

  • Background in youth justice, social care, or related field.

  • Skilled in engaging with diverse children and families.

  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed and restorative practices.

  • Passionate about child-first, rights-based approaches.
