Caseworker

We’re looking for an experienced Caseworker to join a high-profile Central Government organisation based in London, on an initial contract paying up to £207.94 per day via umbrella (inside IR35) on an initial 9 month contract.

This is a hybrid role with a requirement to attend 1-3 days per week.

You’ll be working on sensitive and operationally important casework, supporting key national priorities. The role involves decision-making based on government policy, managing confidential information, and working at pace within strict procedural frameworks.

Proven experience with the following is required -

• You must hold or be able to pass Security Clearance - SC Clearance
• Previous caseworking experience in a structured environment
• Strong analytical skills - able to assess complex information from multiple sources
• Experience applying government policy and following formal procedures
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet daily targets
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Full competence with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Solid understanding of Data Protection and confidentiality obligations
• Emotional resilience - you may be exposed to sensitive or distressing material

Desirable:

• Background in immigration, law enforcement, or government casework
• Experience managing complex or sensitive cases
• Ability to remain impartial and policy-focused when making decisions
