Join STAR Procurement, a collaborative procurement service hosted by Trafford Council, strategically supporting Rochdale, Stockport, and Tameside. We are dedicated to delivering an excellent procurement service that enhances public service reform and growth across diverse communities.

In this role you will support Category Procurement within Trafford Council's Place directorate with particular focus on highways, construction, and facilities management.

• Lead and drive a busy pipeline of procurement activities, ensuring alignment with service requirements and commissioning needs.
• Deliver improved service outcomes, value for money, and enhanced social value in line with ongoing service delivery.
• Work closely with various stakeholders across Highways, Construction, and Facilities Management.
• Play a key role in the preparation and adaptation to the upcoming changes due to the new Procurement Act.

• Experience in a public sector environment, with a deep understanding of the commissioning cycle and procurement's role within it.
• Proven track record of delivering improved 'Social Value' outcomes through strategic procurement planning.
• Ability to handle a demanding workload and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
