Category Manager - Corporate Servies & ICT

Cedar Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a reputable Research based Institute, who are highly regarded in the industry, with the recruitment of an Interim Category Manager. The role will be to work across Corporate Services and ICT and some of the projects will include Recruitment, Hardware and Marketing.

The role is working on a initial 3 month contract, which is full time (35 hours per week) with the high probability to be extended past this period. The successful candidate will need to be able to get into the office in South West London 2 days per week.

The salary on offer is £450 Per Day Inside IR35.

Main Duties:

• Take the lead on tender processes through from drafting specifications, evaluation, and award.
• Develop and manage both category and procurement strategies.
• Negotiate best value contracts, using appropriate procedures and frameworks, where applicable amongst other innovative solutions.
• Promote value for money, work to sustainability in alignment with the organisations targets.
• Support and advise stakeholders on procurement best practices
• Conduct spend analysis and supplier segmentation.
• Maintain supplier relationships and ensure compliance with procurement policy and procedures.
• Provide procurement system training and support.
• Monitor contract performance and ensure ongoing value.
• Be the authorised signatory for purchase orders, requisitions, and contracts.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in procurement efficiency, risk reduction, and sustainability.

To be considered you MUST have experience of procuring or renewing Recruitment contracts and have experience in end to end Category Management.
