Category Officer

We are urgently recruiting for a Category Officer to work with our client in the Oxford area. This is a 6 month contract, flexible working hours however core hours are expected to be covered which are between 8am - 6pm Monday - Friday. Remote role with requirement to attend main site when required. This role is ideal for someone who is operating at an assistant level looking to move to an officer role.

This role involves the full delivery of key procurement and contract management projects, including tender document preparation, tendering, contract monitoring and contract administration.

You will need:

• Experience in Children's Services and Education
• MCIPS to Level 4
• Procurement Act 2023 Assessment completed
• Public Sector procurement knowledge and experience, particularly Children's Services categories of spend and having the ability to carry out end to end procurements with minimum supervision
