We are seeking a Catering Assistant to support the day-to-day delivery of our catering service. This role involves food preparation, cooking, serving meals, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment in compliance with food hygiene regulations and Health & Safety standards.

The successful candidate will work as part of a dedicated catering team, ensuring high-quality food service across various venues within County Durham.

• Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food and beverages, including recording food temperatures.
• Set up and clean dining and café areas, ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Pack and transport meals to other locations as needed.
• Operate trolley service, shop, kiosk, or other service points.
• Serve meals, refreshments, and bar services as required.
• Clear dining areas and service points after meal service.
• Perform general kitchen duties, including washing up and cleaning equipment and surfaces.
• Assist with handling cash, till operations, and cashless systems where appropriate.
• Support computer-based activities, including data entry and food ordering systems.
• Help with receiving, storing goods, stocktaking, and completing daily monitoring sheets.
