Location: Reading (office once per week)

ARM are working with a leading consultancy who are seeking a CDM Lead to manage the implementation of CDM Designer duties across a major utilities programme. This role is pivotal in embedding safe-by-design principles and ensuring full compliance with CDM 2015 regulations and internal best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead CDM Designer duties and ensure compliance across design phases.
• Prepare Pre-Construction Information Packs and coordinate the Health & Safety File.
• Identify and manage design risks; maintain the design risk register.
• Facilitate HAZOPs, design reviews, and stakeholder engagement.
• Influence senior stakeholders and support CDM training delivery.

Requirements:

• Degree-qualified in a construction/engineering discipline.
• Minimum 6 years' CDM experience in infrastructure or utilities.
• Chartered professional (e.g., CEng, RICS, RIBA) with NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
• Strong understanding of CDM 2015, risk management, and design safety.
• Experience on multi-disciplinary projects under NEC or similar frameworks.
