Job Description - Chef/ Catering Assistant

Chef / Kitchen Assistant
Chelmsford
Temporary
£12.30-£17 DOE

Are you passionate about preparing quality food in a fast-paced, friendly environment? We’re looking for a Chef to join our team at our leisure centre in Chelmsford, operated by Northumbrian Water.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing and cooking a variety of hot and cold meals
Making fresh sandwiches and snacks
Assisting with food preparation for daily service
Ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained at all times
Following food safety procedures, including HACCP guidelines
Occasional pot washing

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar catering or kitchen environment
Understanding of HACCP and food safety standards
Food Hygiene Level 2 certification (required)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
