Chef de Partie

Temporary Chef de Partie - Country Inn & Spa, Shrewsbury

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded country inn and spa located just outside Shrewsbury, for a temporary Chef de Partie to support their kitchen team during their busy summer period.

This beautiful rural property offers a relaxed yet refined dining experience, with a focus on seasonal, locally sourced produce and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Guests include spa visitors, hotel residents and local diners.

Position Details:

• Role: Chef de Partie (Temporary Contract)
• Location: Rural Shrewsbury, Shropshire
• Start Date: Immediate start available
• Duration: Approx. 2 months (potential to extend)
• Hours: Minimum of 40 hours over 5 days, mix of split and straight shifts
• Accommodation: Live-in available on site if required

Role Responsibilities:

• Running your own section within a well-organised open kitchen
• Supporting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering a consistently high standard of food
• Preparing fresh, seasonal dishes in line with the inn’s menu style
• Maintaining hygiene, safety and cleanliness standards at all times

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a quality kitchen environment (hotel, gastro pub, country inn or similar)
• Confident across multiple sections (larder, sauce, garnish, etc.)
• Calm under pressure with a good team ethos
• Flexibility to cover a range of shifts during the week and weekends
