Job Title: Senior Social Worker - Children in Our Care/Care Leavers Team

About Newcastle City Council Children's Social Care

Newcastle City Council is looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Children in Our Care/Care Leavers Team. They are committed to providing outstanding services to children and young people.

About the Children in Our Care/Care Leavers Team

This team works with children in care and care leavers, providing support and ensuring their well-being and successful transition to independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Case management under the Children in Care and Care Leavers Team.
• Completing assessments and statutory visits.
• Developing and implementing care plans and pathway plans for young people up to 16+.
• Engaging directly with children and young people to gather their views and feelings.
• Participating in multi-agency working to ensure comprehensive support for children and care leavers.
• Responsibility for case holding, including safeguarding, Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Looked After Children (LAC), and Court Proceedings through to conclusion.
