Children’s Residential Social Care Worker
Mansfield
07/07/2025 – 1 month initially
Rota - Two shift patterns - 7am - 3pm and 2pm - 10pm

Our client are seeking a Residential Social Care Worker to join a team based in a four bedded children's home in Mansfield.

Provide physical and emotional care and support to young people
Support with education, life skills and health needs
Support with daily skills and get the young people involved in these duties
Provide practical help, advice and guidance on issues affecting them
Work with young people with challenging behaviour, to affect change and positive outcomes
Act as an advocate for the young people
Listen to the young people’s views and wishes and act on their feedback
Contribute to and implement childcare plans and risk assessments
Liaise and work effectively with colleagues, other agencies and service users in the interests of the young people
Ensure that managers are informed of significant matters arising within the home
Keep and maintain accurate records of work
Attend meetings, reviews and conferences where necessary

Requirements

UK Driving License, access to a vehicle, business insurance
Level 3 Diploma in residential child care desirable
Must have experience of working with looked after children, experience of working in a child's residential home desirable
Must have an understanding of the safeguarding issues which may impact on children in care
Must have an understanding of physical, emotional, cultural, racial and individual needs in a residential setting
Basic knowledge of the Children Act 1989 (and subsequent amendments) and other field related legislation
Enhanced Child DBS registered to the update service
