Main responsibilities

We are seeking a Payroll Assistant for a temporary position based in West London on behalf of an education based client. The ideal candidate will have experience in local government or teacher pension schemes (LGPS/TPS) and a background in education payroll processes. This role requires proficiency in Civica and advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and complex formulas.

Day-to-day of the role:
• Processing payroll transactions and ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery.
• Utilising Civica software for payroll operations.
• Managing and resolving payroll-related queries from employees and external agencies.
• Maintaining accurate payroll records and preparing reports.
• Performing data analysis and creating reports using advanced Excel functions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience with LGPS/TPS or similar education-related payroll systems.
• Proficient in using Civica for payroll processing.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
