Class 2 driver

Location: Hertfordshire
Pay: £14.00 – £16.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent

We are a well-established Builders Merchant based in Hertfordshire, supplying a wide range of building materials to trade and residential customers. Due to continued demand, we are looking for a dependable and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.

• Drive a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle to deliver building materials to customers across Hertfordshire and surrounding areas

• Ensure timely, safe, and professional deliveries to construction sites and private addresses

• Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness

• Load and unload materials safely and securely

• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and documentation

• Provide excellent customer service and represent the business professionally

• Adhere to all road safety, tachograph, and company compliance standards

• Full UK Driving Licence with Class 2 (Category C) entitlement

• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card

• Previous experience delivering building materials or working in a similar environment preferred

• Good knowledge of local roads and delivery routes

• Reliable, punctual, and customer-focused

• Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks

• Competitive hourly rate: £14.00 – £16.00 per hour (DOE)

• Opportunity for a permanent position following a successful temporary period

• Monday to Friday working hours, with occasional Saturdays as required
