Clerk of Works

We are currently looking for a Clerk of Works. You will be working in Sutton

Monday - Friday

36 hours per week

Temp Contract - Ongoing

Pay rate - £36.04ph paye or £45.45ph umbrella

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Major Works Programme Manager, you will work with a team responsible for providing a Quality Assurance/Clerk of Works service in connection with Partnerships programme of capital and cyclical works.

• Provide a Quality Assurance/Clerk of Work service across the full range of work undertaken

• Agree joint quality control procedures with the constructor/contractor in accordance with requirements and audit such procedures and records to ensure that quality control inspections are effective and efficient.

• Maintain a critical but constructive relationship with the contractor's supervisory staff.

• Examine specifications and drawings and ensure that any aspects which are not satisfactory are rectified.

• Carry out site visits at least weekly, to all sites to ensure that materials, construction standards and site practices meet requirements, and prepare a Health and Safety report.

• Inspect finished work.

• Prepare specification.
