Client Accountant

Mitchell Adam is currently working in partnership with a highly regarded property business located in the heart of Birmingham City Centre. They are seeking an experienced Interim Client Accountant to support their finance team during a busy period, initially for a 3-month contract with potential for extension.

In this position, you will take full ownership of a portfolio of client properties. Key responsibilities include reconciling service charges, preparing and amending budgets, processing recharges, and assisting with year-end financial activities. On a monthly basis, you will also deliver tailored reporting for clients covering accruals, prepayments, profit and loss statements, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Ideally, you will:

• Be a part-qualified ACCA/CIMA, actively seeking career progression, previous experience in a property management finance team is preferred not required.

• Have previous experience working with accruals and prepayments, month end and some financial reporting.

• Hold strong communication skills, with the ability to confidently liaise with clients and senior stakeholders

• Be proficient in Excel and comfortable using bespoke financial systems
