CNC operator

Location: South Ruislip

Remuneration: £14 - £15 per hour

Contract Details: Temporary, Full-time (39 hours/week)

Responsibilities:

• ? Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations, including turning, milling, drilling, and tapping.
• ?? Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• ??? Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials needed for each job.
• ?? Monitor machine operations to ensure optimal functioning and make adjustments as necessary.
• ?? Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy using precision measuring instruments like callipers and CMM.
• ?? Collaborate with team members to enhance production processes and efficiency.
• ?? Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety guidelines.

Skills:

• Proficiency in machining techniques and processes.
• Experience in tooling selection, setup, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with CAD software for programming CNC machines.
• Knowledge of Mazatrol programming language (preferred but not required).
• Strong measurement skills with callipers, micrometres, and other hand tools.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
