Collections Assistant Library

• Hourly Rate: £13.85 PAYE
• Location: Euston, London
• Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (Immediate start, booking likely to run to end of year)
• Working Hours: Monday to Saturday with a day off in the week, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

We are seeking an Operations Assistant for a physically active role involving the transportation of books within the national library. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work and is interested in learning about our collections.

• Push barrows from the basements to the reading rooms using the lifts, with deliveries occurring every hour.
• Sort out the items that are to be delivered to various locations.
• Deliver items to reading rooms and return to the basements with the empty barrow.
• Spend downtime in the storage area assigned to you, where you can learn about the collection.

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Good organisational skills to manage timely deliveries.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
