Collections Driver

Due to an increase in demand, Pertemps are working in partnership with the Royal Mail to source Collection Drivers to support with their busy operation.

• Location: Shrewsbury
• Hours: 14:48 - 18:48
• Shift: Monday to Friday
• Hourly Rate: £13.37 per hour PAYE

About the Collection Driver role:

You will be responsible for collection of parcels and mail by driving on a dedicated route, whilst maintaining our high integrity standards and demonstrating friendly customer service. Other duties may also include sorting of mail/parcels within the delivery office. Our Postal Delivery Drivers will be provided with an induction.

About You:

• The ideal candidate for this role will be upbeat, self-motivated, and happy to work alone as well as part of a team.
• You will be helpful and approachable displaying a strong sense of community, as you get to know the people you meet on your round.
• Royal Mail deliver parcels whatever the weather, so you will enjoy working outdoors.
• You will be smartly presented, always acting in a professional and courteous manner.

Previous Experience:
Some previous experience in a customer facing or delivery role would be ideal but not essential.
You will be required to complete a full DBS security check prior to commencing work.

Driving licence requirements:

• A full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address)
• Maximum 6 penalty points
• Unfortunately, we are unable to accept IN/DD/DR/CD endorsements
