Commercial Accountant - 6 month Fixed Term Contract

Talent Finance are working with a successful manufacturing business in Poole who are seeking a Commercial Accountant for a 6-month contract, with strong potential to go permanent.

This is a high-impact role for a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with commercial acumen, a confident personality, and experience partnering closely with production and finance teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering insightful financial analysis to support production and project decisions
• Supporting the factory budgeting and performance tracking
• Improving cost visibility and manufacturing efficiency
• Partnering with operations to reduce waste and improve margins
• Develop robust financial models and contribute to long-term planning within the operations function.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Professionally qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA).
• Strong commercial acumen and proven business partnering experience - particularly in a manufacturing or production environment.
• A confident communicator with a strength of character, to enable you to work closely with and challenge the production teams when needed.
• Analytical, inquisitive mindset with the ability to understand and improve business processes and performance drivers.
• Experience with ERP systems and standard costing models is highly desirable.
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
