Teqniq is searching for a Commercial - Control Centre Monitoring Officer to work in the public sector.

Overall Purpose of Job:

The post holder will provide technical and logistical support to frontline operational Officers. This will include direct contact via radio and phone, viewing information or evidential video, preparing downloads and updating logs.

The post holder will undertake live, information, intelligence and data checks on behalf of workplace enforcement officers, police and police community support Officers and other workplace staff or partners. This includes creating and updating operational information using Uniform, Alloy, Experian, Mayrise and Northgate 3. To monitor and operate CCTV cameras in line with the CCTV Code of Practice and Control Room procedures.

To be the first point of contact in respect of telephone calls to the workplace outside of normal office hours and to take the necessary follow on action.

In the absence of security staff to undertake control room security and reception duties.

The post holder will be required to work a dedicated shift pattern of days, lates and nights and will be required to work weekends and public holidays.

Job Summary:

The post holder reports to the Senior Control Centre Monitoring Officer.

The post holder does not have any line management responsibilities.

The post holder will normally be based in the Folkestone Road CCTV Control Room but may be required to work at other workplace or partnership locations in the Borough.

Control Centre Monitoring Officer Late Shift / Night shift As a Control Room Monitoring Officer, you will support front-line operational officers, together with the Metropolitan Police. Your responsibilities will include conducting data checks using various systems, creating and updating reports, and monitoring CCTV cameras in accordance with the CCTV Code of Practice.

You will handle the workplaces Out of Hours calls, such as raising housing repair jobs and making social service referrals.

This position follows a shift pattern, requiring you to work three out of four weekends and bank holidays. Late/night shifts will be between the hours of 16:00 to 06:00. (you will only be required to work 2 nightshifts per 4 weeks 22:00 hrs to 06:00 hrs) The start times for each will be from 16:00 hrs, 18:00 hrs, 22:00 hrs lasting 8 hours including a 48-minute meal break.
