Job Description - Commercial Finance Manager FTC

Finance Manager – Analysis & Reporting Focus
Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
Contract: 12 month FTC

Dynamite Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join one of our prestigious clients based in Portsmouth. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to play a key role in a growing and transforming business, with a strong focus on data-driven decision making, financial analysis, and delivering insight to business partners.

The Role:

Oversee month-end close and reporting deadlines, ensuring accurate and timely outputs
Prepare and develop management accounts with an emphasis on actionable insights
Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI to support decision-making across the business
Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations with a focus on transparency and clarity
Partner with operational and senior leadership teams to provide financial analysis, cost challenge, and strategic recommendations
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes through robust reporting tools
Identify and deliver process improvements, including enhanced reporting capability and automation
Contribute to ongoing transformation and growth projects, using financial data to drive business performance

The Ideal Candidate:

Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or strong part-qualified
Proven ability in financial analysis, data reporting, and business partnering
Skilled in Power BI, Excel, and Sage 50 (or similar systems)
Strong communicator, confident in presenting financial insights to senior stakeholders
Commercially aware, proactive, and highly analytical, with a continuous improvement mindset
