Commercial Finance Manager - Retail

An historic, renowned UK charity that advocated for some of society's most vulnerable people is in need of an interim Senior Retail Finance Business Partner to replace the outgoing permanent incumbent, in a twelve-month, fixed-term contract role that could well go permanent. A hybrid role, based in the Stratford office two days per week, it will report into the CFO and lead on business-partnering their large retail function. It will also oversee a Management Accountant and Finance Analyst. This is a great opportunity to join an organisation doing essential work and contribute to its future success in a commercially-focussed role. It will pay up to £70,000 per annum.

As the Senior Finance Business Partner your role will involve:

• Business-partnering directors within the retail division including influencing the decision making process with regards to individual stores
• Setting budgets and forecasts alongside stakeholders
• Analysing large data sets across the high street stores
• Reviewing systems and processes, continuously pushing for improvements and stronger reporting
• Overseeing a Management Accountant and Finance Analyst including supervision and delegations
• Contributing towards board papers

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a senior, experienced finance professional with strong retail (high street) experience
• Be a qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Be available at short notice
• Be a sensitive, resilient individual who can guide the team through a challenging period
• Have a keen interest in contributing towards an important social purpose
