Commercial Manager

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary. Hybrid working.

Transport for London are seeking a Commercial Manager with extensive experience in managing contracts within the rail industry. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in post-contract management, particularly in handling contract obligations, variations, negotiations, claims, and disputes management. Experience in the rail, LU, or highways sectors is essential.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Oversee and manage multiple contracts simultaneously, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
• Handle contract variations and negotiate terms to align with strategic business objectives.
• Manage claims and disputes effectively, ensuring timely resolution.
• Collaborate with various internal teams to ensure contract compliance and performance.
• Utilise industry-specific software, such as SAP and SAP Ariba, to enhance contract management processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in contract management within the rail, LU, or highways sectors.
• Strong understanding of post-contract management processes.
• Ability to manage a large number of contracts simultaneously.
• Excellent negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
• Strong academic background, ideally educated to degree level.
• CIPS, RICS (or working towards), or similar industry qualification is desirable.
• Experience with SAP and SAP Ariba is desirable, but not essential.
