Commercial Procurement Officer – Sheffield/Hybrid - £32,000 - £35,000

Elevation's Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a public body organisation based in Sheffield, in their search for a Commercial Procurement Officer for an ongoing temporary contract.

Commercial Procurement Officer Duties:

• Support the commercial aspects of our finance system, with a specific focus on contract management and procurement processes, providing help and guidance to users across the organisation
• Lead and manage complex/high risk contract development and negotiation in line with appropriate legislation
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, taking a collaborative approach to ensure business needs and commercial objectives are achieved in line with expected timescales
• Provide advice to stakeholders across the organisation on commercial matters to ensure that procurement activities are undertaken in accordance with internal guidance and relevant PCR/TPP legislation
• Analyse data and identify areas of cost savings and operational improvements to advise Commercial plans
• Contribute to the implementation of a robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) process across all key categories
• To take appropriate action with stakeholders when managing Contact KPI’s/under performance and contracting issues

Hours: 37 hours per week (Flexi time) Monday – Friday

Required skills & experience:

• Previous experience to public sector procurement
• Ability to build strong working relationships internally/externally
• Strong communication skills
