Commissioning Manager

• Pay Rate: £400 - £500 per day (Inside IR35/Umbrella)
• Working Arrangement: Hybrid (2-days in office per week)
• Job Type: 4-6 Month Temporary Contract

Rochdale Council are seeking a Commissioning Manager to support the daily placements activity and assistance in the development of Children's Care Sufficiency Strategy. In this role you will building and develop provider relationships and provide strategic support to the Lead for Children’s Commissioning.

• Coordinate the Children's Commissioning cycle for assigned areas of responsibility.
• Collaborate closely with social workers, health and clinical leads, service users, and providers to lead the strategic development and redesign of services.
• Drive transformation and innovation through co-production with service users, providers, and other system partners.
• Ensure commissioning for quality through service redesign, de-commissioning, and re-commissioning processes.

• Proven experience as a Children's Commissioning Manager within a Local Authority
• Strong understanding of the commissioning cycle and strategic service development.
• Ability to lead large-scale transformational change programmes.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in budget monitoring and ensuring value for money.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to implement strategic commissioning plans effectively.
