Job Title: Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) – Dementia Team
Location: Inverness
Duration: 3 months ongoing
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Join our Dementia Team as a Band 6 CPN and provide specialist mental health support to individuals living with dementia. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health and cognitive assessments for individuals with dementia.
• Developing and implementing personalised care plans to support patients and their families.
• Providing specialist interventions to manage challenging behaviors and cognitive decline.
• Supporting patients with medication management and monitoring side effects.
• Offering crisis intervention and risk management strategies to ensure patient safety.
• Liaising with families, social workers, GPs, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with NHS standards and guidelines.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A current and valid NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse.
• Previous experience working with dementia patients in a mental health setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• A commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
