Rate: £15.63 per hour
Duration: 3-6 months
Hours: Full-time

We're recruiting for an experienced Community Safety Enforcement Officer to take on a varied and hands-on enforcement role within a local authority.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Investigating and enforcing against environmental crime such as fly-tipping, noise complaints, dog fouling, littering, and abandoned vehicles.

• Providing a uniformed patrol presence to deter anti-social behaviour and reassure the public.

• Issuing Fixed Penalty Notices where appropriate.

• Gathering evidence, conducting interviews under PACE, and preparing prosecution files.

• Supporting community initiatives in collaboration with enforcement teams and partner agencies.

• Engaging with residents and encouraging community reporting of issues.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an enforcement or regulatory role is essential.

• A valid UK driving licence is required, along with flexibility to travel across the district as part of the role.

• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.

• Confidence dealing with the public in a professional and assertive manner.
