Community Support Team Manager

Duration: Initially 5 months
Rate: £30 umbrella an hour (£24 PAYE an hour)
Hours: 37-40 hours per week

West Sussex County Council are looking for a Team Manager to join their Ukraine Support Team based in Crawley. This role is hybrid (3 days in hotel, 2 from home).

Responsibilities:

You will be expected to lead, supervise and provide oversight of a locality-based team that provides direct intervention to Ukrainian refugees through targeted support and partnership working with dedicated schools or health teams
You will play a key role in the Communities leadership team in bringing your knowledge and expertise into the development of services
You will be responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to through a number of quality assurance processes

Requirements:

Post graduate professional qualification relevant to either a management or to a professional service specialism (e.g. social work, health etc), or equivalent level of significant experience
Relevant chartered status of a professional body or equivalent high-level experience of involved practices
Valid and full driving license and access to a vehicle
Experience of being placed under significant emotional demand by the stories of the people you work with
Ability to anticipate problems, plan solutions and make sound pragmatic problem-solving decisions
Advanced theoretical knowledge of systems, procedures and policies in specialist areas
