Complex Needs Teacher – Primary – North Birmingham
A thriving and supportive primary special school in North Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Teacher to join their team. This rewarding role offers the chance to work with pupils who have a wide range of additional needs, including PMLD, Autism, communication difficulties, and complex medical needs.

As a Complex Needs Teacher, you will deliver a creative, adapted primary curriculum to small groups of pupils, ensuring that learning is accessible, engaging, and meaningful for every child. You will be supported by a skilled team of teaching assistants, therapists, and a compassionate leadership team, who all work together to provide the very best for pupils.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering personalised lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils.
• Using a range of strategies and resources to support communication and sensory learning.
• Leading a team of teaching assistants to ensure effective in-class support.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, families, and professionals.
• Supporting pupils with their social, emotional, and physical development.
• Creating a safe and nurturing environment where pupils can thrive.

The ideal candidate will have:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
• Experience teaching pupils with complex needs in a SEND setting (desirable).
• Knowledge of strategies for supporting PMLD, MLD, and Autism.
• A creative, flexible approach to teaching and planning.
• A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children with special educational needs.
