Join BAE Systems working on one of the most advanced fighter aircraft in history – the F-35 Lightning II.

BAE Systems is seeking skilled Machinists/Fabricators to support aircraft maintenance and production within a high-specification engineering environment.

The Job

• Manufacture, modify, and repair aircraft components to strict technical standards.
• Operate a variety of tools and machinery (manual, NC, CNC) to fabricate and assemble parts.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure precision manufacturing.
• Follow approved maintenance procedures and adhere to the company’s Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE).
• Maintain compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Conduct quality checks, document findings, and escalate issues appropriately.

Skills

• Strong background in machining/fabrication including drilling, milling, grinding, and assembly.
• Experience with metals such as steel, aluminium, and titanium.
• Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
• Familiar with safety systems: Risk Assessment, FOD prevention, Tool Control, Human Factors.
• Ability to follow detailed maintenance instructions in a dynamic, team-based environment
