We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer for a 6-month interim contract to support aerospace tooling projects. This role is based in the Northwest and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-profile aerospace programmes within a dynamic engineering team.

• Design and develop aerospace tooling solutions using CATIA V5.
• Produce detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and project teams to ensure tooling meets technical and operational requirements.
• Support design reviews and implement feedback to optimise tooling performance.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
• Provide technical support throughout the tooling lifecycle, from concept to delivery.

• Proven experience as a Design Engineer in the aerospace sector, specifically in tooling design.
• Proficiency in CATIA V5 is essential.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials used in aerospace tooling.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE

• Experience with FEA or other simulation tools.
• Knowledge of aerospace standards and regulations.
• Previous experience in a contract or interim role.

• Duration: 6 months
• Location: On-site in the North West (hybrid working may be considered)
• Rate: Competitive, based on experience
