Contract Officer

We're looking for a Contract Officer to join a Public Sector organisation in London. You will provide essential support in managing complex contracts, including NEC3, for a high-profile infrastructure programme. You'll assist with contract administration, supplier payments, cost reporting, and process improvement, ensuring compliance and value for money.

Description

Key responsibilities for the Contract Officer role:

• Support the administration of contracts, including early warnings, communications, and compensation events.
• Assist in reviewing and processing supplier payment applications.
• Contribute to cost reporting and budget tracking across the programme.
• Help improve commercial processes by mapping and refining workflows.
• Take accurate notes and track actions from commercial and contractual meetings.
• Ensure suppliers are correctly set up and paid through the finance system.
• Provide general administrative support to the Commercial Team as needed.

Profile

A successful Contract Officer should have:

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Keen to progress & develop.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and other relevant IT systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.

Job Offer

• £33,000 - 35,000 salary per annum
• Temporary position for up to 6 months
• Potential for permanent opportunities
