The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a law graduate who is looking to undertake their SQE, to join a friendly Conveyancing team in Eastbourne.

Upon successfully passing their probationary period, the company will fund the successful candidate’s SQE.

Key Responsibilities

The Conveyancing Trainee Solicitor will work alongside and provide direct support to the Practitioner, for example by:

• Assisting clients both in person and by telephone, providing support in a professional and friendly manner, maintaining the firm’s standards for client care
• Writing and preparing legal documents
• Legal research
• Progressing case files and file management;
• Making appointments, arranging meetings and diary management for the Practitioner;
• Providing support and guidance to other members of the team and wider team;
• Preparing correspondence and documents including audio-typing;
• Preparing mail and enclosures for despatch;
• Arranging for all copying to be completed;
• Securing the confidentiality and security of the firm’s client documentation and information;
• Committing time to training and self-development.

Skills and Qualifications

• A law degree is essential
• Excellent communication and administration skills
• Excellent interpersonal and client care skills
• Friendly, proactive and a positive attitude
