West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) are seeking a Copywriter to join their dynamic team. This role involves drafting, tailoring, and optimising high-quality web copy to meet the diverse needs of our stakeholders. The ideal candidate will ensure all content is aligned with SEO best practices and accessibility standards, enhancing visibility, engagement, and supporting inclusivity.

• Collaborate with internal teams including media, marketing, communications, and policy leads to deliver a user-focused website that reflects organisational objectives.
• Create engaging, high-quality, and accessible web content tailored to diverse audience needs.
• Work closely with the web development team to align copy with design, structure, and site hierarchy.
• Review and audit existing web content, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring consistency across the site.
• Use analytics tools to measure the performance of content and refine strategies for improved outcomes.
• Manage content updates using a content management system and keep abreast of new developments in communications and marketing.

• Proven experience in web content management, SEO, and digital marketing.
• Strong understanding of SEO best practices including keyword integration, metadata optimisation, and structural formatting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various internal teams and external suppliers.
• Ability to use analytics tools to track performance and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience in managing content on websites using content management systems.
• Knowledge of current trends and technologies in communications and marketing.
