Interim Corporate Asset Manager

Location: Hampshire (Hybrid Working)

Contract: Interim/Ongoing

Day Rate: Inside IR35 - £450 per day

Our client, a local authority in Hampshire, is seeking an Interim Corporate Asset Manager to lead the strategic management of corporate and operational assets. This role will play a key part in supporting the Corporate Landlord function, driving income generation, improving asset performance, and resolving backlog cases within the Valuation and Estates team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the effective utilisation and performance of corporate and operational assets.
• Address outstanding cases within the Valuation and Estates team, engaging external consultants where necessary.
• Maximise revenue across corporate assets by implementing efficient rent reviews and lease management.
• Oversee the procurement of key corporate asset contracts, including cleaning, security, and utilities, ensuring value for money and compliance.
• Work alongside the FM team to identify and implement operational efficiencies and cost savings across council-owned assets.
• Drive improvements in property inspections and explore external procurement solutions for maintenance.
• Collaborate with educational teams to enhance estate management and planned work programme delivery.

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant field (Estate Management, Property Management, Asset Management) or equivalent experience.
• Chartered Membership of RICS (or equivalent professional body) highly desirable.
• Strong background in corporate property portfolio management, including commercial and operational assets.
• Experience in income generation initiatives, rent reviews, and lease management.
• Proven ability to manage procurement processes and asset-related contracts.
• Strong understanding of compliance regulations, including health & safety and statutory maintenance.
• Experience in local government or the public sector
