Cost Controller - London

Support cost and accrual operations across the European region for this international shipping company.
 
Work closely with local agents, vessel operators, and internal teams to make sure costs are reported accurately, contracts and tariffs are followed, and savings are identified.
 
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a high degree of possibility to become permanent.  This company operate a hybrid working model.
 
You’ll be at the centre of a busy cost control function, handling everything from validating accruals to resolving discrepancies.
 
The role is hands-on, and you’ll be relied on to provide clear guidance to agents, review costs in detail, and make sure everything is settled correctly and on time.
 
Key elements of the role:

• Validate accruals and review cost reports from agents across Europe.
• Investigate cost variances and make sure settlements match contracts and tariffs.
• Support regional projects aimed at improving cost control and reporting processes.

You’ll need to bring:

• Experience in cost control or accrual work.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with cost control platforms.
• Confidence dealing with data, reviewing contracts, and communicating clearly.

Experience in shipping and maritime is not essential, but would be advantageous, specifically RORO shipping.

Existing entitlement to live and work in the United Kingdom is required for this position.
