No matter what your specialist subject is, if you are a recent graduate or looking for a change in career, GSL Education Hull can help. Our Hull office is looking for aspiring teachers to work as Cover Supervisors in local Secondary Schools. This is a great way to gain paid hands-on experience, before going on to complete your teacher training.

As a Cover Supervisor you will:

• Manage classroom behaviour of up to 30 pupils, ensuring students stay on task.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subject areas, including English, Maths, Science and Humanities
• Respond to any questions or queries students may have.
• Use effective classroom and behaviour managment skills.
• Follow individual School behaviour and safeguarding policies.
  
  The ideal Cover Supervisor will:

• Have an Education-based or Core Subject-based Degree.
• Aspire to have a career in Education, in roles such as a Pastoral Manager or Teacher
• Be able to quickly engage and build rapport with pupils.
• Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.
• Be happy to take morning bookings for short-term supply.
• Hold a Child Only Workforce DBS that is registered to the Update Service, or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education
